i was so stoked on this, black sesame seeds in a beer? i wanted to taste them, know they were here, but that was not the case, the ferment and the lime take it over, awesome as those elements are, i missed the sesame and was thus a little bummed, this is delicious, but its not as weird as it sounds. usually the weird beers from trve are truly weird, this one is not. the bacterial part is fresh and citrus forward and familiar, and it sets the lime up super well, juicy and sour while still drinkable, way cool, the nose makes my mouth water and the flavor both quenches my thirst and makes me thirsty, effective for a beer. the ground coriander adds a floral toasted wrinkle but is way in the back behind the lime and the yeasts. its light in body, slightly spicy, and wheat driven it seems. some light bretty funk as it warms but still drinking kind of young to me. i definitely wish for more sesame in this, much as the beer is still curious and refreshing, i want that strange factor ramped up. not quite effervescent, awesome dryness and refreshment value for how intriguing it still is. i could pick this beer out of a big lineup and identify it as trve, the ferment is that familiar from their other stuff. always something cool on tap in here...
