delicious and modern ipa, drinkable and light on body despite it having some oats in it, not hazy and dense and slow, this one is a drinker, dry, smooth, and easier in many ways than a lot of their hoppy stuff, i was impressed with this. the hop profile is cool too, melba in the mix along with citra and mosaic, which i think gives this some intrigue, it certainly keeps it from being samey with the other two, herbal all the way with white peach and coconut flesh characteristics in aroma and flavor, nuances of honeysuckle, white grape, pear, and kiwi fruit too, and its up front and bold enough to have perhaps been done with a thiol boosting yeast or something, its peppy and poppy and fresh like that, but im not sure what its fermented with. the color and the body are both pretty delicate here, lighter than expected with this grain bill, and the beer is pretty quick on the palate, aided by high carbonation, a neat juicy citrusy hop layer, and what must be some pils malt in it. its simple but it isnt boring, its clean and almost refreshing, and the bitterness is well tempered to keep it easy down. melba hops are not super familiar to me, so i liked what they brought to this. somewhat summery overall. rad name, tasty drinker, but its still the saisons and mixed culture stuff that turns me on the most from these guys!
