Oak barrels from Heaven Hill distillery are used which formerly housed Bourbon, Rye or Wheat Whiskey. Typically, a heavier beer that can stand up to the distilled product is aged for at least 100 days. The wood and the residual liquor interact with the beer to create a delightful product. A sip from each is required to disseminate the myriad of flavors unique to each barrel.

A - Deep chestnut burgundy color, clear, no lacing, no carb.

S - Moderate scotch and bourbon nose, roasted toffee, delicate cherry aroma.

T - Dark roasted toffee sweetness, oak, vanilla, bourbon, and lingering light bitterness.

M - Heavy and full bodied.

Only a few ratings for this beer so far and underrated. (IMO)
