Oak barrels from Heaven Hill distillery are used which formerly housed Bourbon, Rye or Wheat Whiskey. Typically, a heavier beer that can stand up to the distilled product is aged for at least 100 days. The wood and the residual liquor interact with the beer to create a delightful product. A sip from each is required to disseminate the myriad of flavors unique to each barrel.
