Pours black with ruby highlights and a large, quickly fading, sudsy head.
Nose shows chocolate, cloves, sultanas and grassy, earthy hops. Pretty nice.
Similar roasty flavours, but not so much sweet malt and sultana characters.
Way too aggressive carbonation. Stupidly high. Body feels watery.

Picked this one up today, thought id give it a try. poured into a tulip.
A- Pours a very very dark brown with about two inches of very fluffy white head. the head sticks around for a while leaving some lacing. not too bad.
S- A whole bunch of sweetish malts up front, followed by dark fruits, sultana and raisin. touch of yeast in there, some spice and something i cant put my finger on.
T- a touch of malt to begin, but followed by fruit, dried apricot. a little chocolaty a little spice. some hop at the end, but nothing too overwhelming. with a bit more warmth some alcohol comes through at the end as well. was expecting more flavour after the mallty nosel. a little dissapointing.
M- i found this one to be a little thin, and a little bit too carbonated. finishes with a nice dry bitterness. and has some length.
O- smelt very malty, dark fruity and spicy, but on tasting it seemed to lack a lot of the malt. and was a bit thin. its not a bad beer, and smells great, if that nose was captured in the taste it would have been great.
