Look: It pours dark brown with a tan head. Head retention is low.
Smell: It has an aroma of cocoa and coffee. There are some herbal notes as well.
Taste: It has a coffee flavor with a sweetness that is slightly acidic. It has cocoa elements with herbs.
Feel: It has a medium body.
Overall, the sweet and acidic flavors and the coffee flavors don't match.

The nose gives the impression it will be quite sour. However, the sourness is muted, yet wine-like. Without delving into the background of this stout, I'd wager the beer was aged in wine barrels?
Given the light sourness the brew is still rather soft on the tongue.
Hard to pinpoint its ultimate style, but it rather works

ultra dark copper hued, as noted by another person... chocolate milk looking topping, some carbonation. kind of musty aroma, a little bit of chocolate, almost sour smell....
taste is definite sour, and chocolate(?), some malts. red wine?
mouthfeel is intriguing; carbonation, vinegar.
overall, a very interesting brew. seems to have been constructed in the spirit of wine. nice taste. almost wanted to score it a little higher overall....

330ml bottle.Pint glass. Enjoyed on jan“12.Pours black in color, very dark copper to the light. Light beige froth.Good retention & nice lacing on sides.Lasting & creamy. Roasted malt, hints of coffee & herbal notes to the nose. Smooth hoppy bitterness upfront.Velvet malty palate, quite dry eventhough. Flavorful medium body, medium carbonation.Dry finish,tea-like hues.Slightly woody aftertaste. Very pleasant drinkability. Refreshing. Flavors, malts & hops are very well balanced. Excellent as a session beer.
