Pours a clear gold color. 1/5 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and poor lacing. Smells of vanilla, slight sweet malt, slight citrus, hint of pale malt, tea, and slight floral notes. Fits the style of a Witbier. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of vanilla, slight sweet malt, slight citrus, hint of pale malt, tea, and slight floral notes. Overall, weak appearance, but pleasing tea and floral notes (they dominate). A light and refreshing twist on the classic Witbier.

Served in a nonic pint, it pours a pale yellow, slightly hazy, with a one-finger head, white and foamy, with low retention.

The bouquet is of wheat, orange and coriander, malty sweetness.

The flavor follows the nose. The wheat is dominant, and you also get some other fruit notes as in apricot and lime. Well balanced beer.
Watery mouthfeel, high carbonation.

Ambery golden color in the tall Kolsch glass. There's a modest foam that subsides into a low carbonation by the time you take a few sips. Sort of a tea taste, some gummy and bitter flavors, and just a hint of the coriander pencil shavings taste. This tastes a little like a Wit, but more like it was watered down.

Overall this is more like a flabby Blonde with an unexpected flavor. Then there's the unpleasant aftertaste, like really old spices from the back of the drawer. I"m hoping for something more interesting from the other side of the border. From the 22 oz bottle purchased for $6.49 at Bine & Vine in San Diego.

Bottled on: 8/12/15.

Pours a murky golden-orange with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, citrus fruitc, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, citrus juice, and slight spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer that is drinkable, but the aromas and flavors are quite subdued in my opinion.

Serving type: bottle.

Golden color with a thin head with short retention. Just got hazy in the last pour.
Nice citrusy aroma with notes of fresh oranges, coriander, barley and wheat malt sweetness
Nice flavor with notes of coriander, ginger, bread malt, some piney and citrusy hops, tangerine and apricot. Dry aftertaste with a low bitterness.
Light bordering medium body with good carbonation.
Refreshing and flavorful Witbier, it is less yeasty and wheaty and a bit more hoppy and citrusy than average. If they beef up on spices, it will be an excellent Wit. I like the fact that there is a good deal of barley malt.

O- Very good wit but something is missing.

Appearance- 650 ml bottle poured assertively into a tulip glass. Straw colored with one finger of white head that dissipates within a matter of seconds, leaving it its wake an unflattering placid beer. While not exactly transparent, this beer is missing the cloudy hue found in other, better beers of this style. Not off to a good start.

Smell- Not a lot to get excited about in the smell department either. Hints of apricots, orange peel and coriander. Missing are the spicing notes I'd hoped for. While refreshing, it lacks the nuance needed to be anything more than average, at best.

Taste- Follows the nose, with orange peel and coriander up front. Finish is dry and bready. Pleasant, and nicely balanced but the flavors are some what muted.

Mouthfeel- a little thin and undoubtedly short on carbonation.

Overall- Not a bad beer, but not worth the $7 price tag, either. I'd really hoped this Tijuana brewery would impress me, but sadly they did not. Perhaps with time they can correct its shortcomings and make this beer a winner.

Appearance - Pours a gold with two fingers of foamy white head.

Smell - orange peel, wheat, coriander, orange juice aromas.

Taste - Very strong flavour of wheat and malts, followed along by a touch of orange peel and coriander (which are somewhat lost in translation).

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes dry with lingering wheat.

Overall - A fairly average or standard witbier. The orange peel and coriander are far too subtle; I would have like to see more balance of those flavours with the wheat.
