Brown-amber color and a little hazy, but with a lovely creamy foam in the Duvel tulip. Quite sweet with that interesting and bold nut taste. Malty and full bodied. There's a bitter edge and even a little butterscotch. Pleasing sudsy mouthfeel.
This actually has a very good walnut flavor, something that seems to be hard to do in beer. And so much better than the icky hazelnut concoctions. There is a pleasing bitter finish. Strong but not tasting of alcohol, and overall very drinkable. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Bottlecraft at Liberty Station.
