Copenhagen 22/6 2024. 47,3 cl can from Den Belgiske Ølbutik, Jyllingevej, Vanløse. I am drinking the 2020 edition. A strange place to run into a Mexican beer. Red can with the name of the beer in silver.
Pours unclear dark mahogany with a mid-sized off-white head. Bubbly. Settles thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass, No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sweet and a bit sugary odor of toasted malts mingling with sourish grains and prominent scent of alcohol. Toasted bread, biscuits and toffee. Sweet bourbon coming in. Prominently.
Low carbonation. Rather thick, oily, viscous, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sugary sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a boozy burn. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Imperial, sweet and boozy.
