My labels says "Doppio Malto Bionda", i guess they wanted this to look even more like an Italian brew, and "Bock" didn't fit the bill.
Pours clear golden, poor half finger head that goes quickly to just a modest lace.
Smells of malty sweetness, biscuit, some sugared blond fruit, sweet bread, some spices.
Taste is boozy, malty sweet, syrupy. That's how it starts and that's how it ends, with some bad hoppy bitterness, bit of metal, weird spicy herbs. Some fruitiness in there, faint vanilla and almond. Aftertaste is sweet and alcoholic, with a displeasing bitterness.
Medium body and carbonation, syrupy, meh.
This was pretty bad. Sweet, boozy, not too tasty.

33 cl brown glass bottle with classic pressure cap served into Westlveteren goblet in Rome, Italy. Reviewed live. Acquired at a supermarket in Rome.
A: Half finger head of very light cream, slight thickness, and bad retention. Clear yellow colour.
Sm: Cream. That's it.
T: Stale cream, fair barley, and badly handled malt. Simple, badly balanced, and built alright. The alcohol is very obvious.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Clean barley is a bit too smooth. Doesn't match the flavours of the body.
Dr: Not very drinkable, high visible ABV, and crap quality. A student beer in polite terms.

Bronze color, white decent foam, even if it has some bubbles.
Malty smell, quite heavy, and with some boozy notes.
Malty in the mouth, a lot, sweetness, and a strong alcohol presence. A bit boring.
Not too much body, too.
Again alcohol and maltiness in the aftertaste, some fruit, alcohol esters. Some hop, but very light.
Nothing to interesting.

Drank from my Duvel Tulip
A - This beer pours a clear classic Golden Lager colour with a hint of copper. The head is one fingered white and tight, reduces to a film after a couple of minutes. Appearance is in keeping with a Heller Bock
S - Aromas of sweet biscuit malts.
T - Definitely some hops here, but mostly malts, nice dry and bitter finish. A mild spice present with the low hop flavour.
M - Moderate carbonation and light body.
O - True to the style and well worth a shot. The balance of malt and hop is quite nice. Alcohol is well hidden.

This beer pours a pale amber almost see thru colour just a little darker than their pilsner with average carbonation that forms a fast vanishing one finger head this is a very unusual colour for this style as i definately remembered it being a darker colour,it has aromas of bready yeast, yorkshire pudding, feint hops and an alcoholic wine smell,it has an average mouthfeel tastes very light and hides the ABV very well quite an easy drinking beer but way off for the style for my liking.
