From can dated 10/18/2020 poured into tulip glasss March 2021.
Aclear, bright, mid brown body with 2 fingers of creamy head. Nice malty nose. Palate is smooth and very malty with hazlenut and hint of caramel. Hops are present but subdued, as they should be for this style.
Overall, a great version of the Sam Smiths original that I could easily drink all afternoon as a great session beer.

Poured from a pint can into a tulip pint glass. Beautiful frothy 3 finger caramel colored head, with excellent lacing. The body of the beer is medium brown in color, with enough carbonation for nice mouth feel. The first sip exhibits some malty barley flavors, balanced with a bit of mocha. Smooth drinking brown ale from Relic!

Had a cold draft of this brew while out for dinner tonight. Served cold in a classic pint glass. The beer is a chocolatey brown color with some light passing through my glass. A minimal khaki colored edge layer of foam rims the glass. Aroma is chocolate malt and some toasted grains. I also get roasted notes and some toffee. Not really much of a hop profile here, a nice nose on the beer.
First sip reveals an average body with a smooth texture and fine tingly carbonation.
Flavor is similar to the nose with lots of toasted grains and some bready yeast notes. A bit of dark chocolate and toffee mix together and again not much of a hop profile with maybe a little bit of a earthy or light spicy note, but malt is the show here. The toffee notes linger on my palate and this beer drinks very easy. A nice change of pace for Relic, as they are cranking out IPAs. A well made brown ale that is worth trying if you find it.

Poured from can, no date.
Look is a medium dark brown with a reddish edge, with a thin beige head that fades into a ring.
Smell of malt and yeast, light caramel and toasted dark bread.
Taste is pretty nice, caramel malts and nutty toffee, cracker and bready grains. Earthy hop bitterness.
Feels good, light-medium body with moderate-high carbonation. Dry finish. Lively and very drinkable.
A nice brown ale. Relic makes lots and lots of IPAs, so it's nice to see an under-represented style done well too.
Edit: it is packaged with yeast so a can or two that I've had for several months is pretty over-carbonated.
