Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Hazed light golden pour with big fluffy white head. Great lacing.
S: A mix of citrus and pine... some tropical notes and berry underneath.
T.F: A bit of malts and sweetness up front. Pine and citrus fruit... grapefruit, pineapple, and peach. Moderate bitterness (more than a lot of your juicy IPA's throw at you). Medium bodied and sticky mouthfeel.
O: An above aveage DIPA... good mix of fruit and pine, and also has some bitterness. Definitely worth a sampling.

Light cloudy golden color with a 4F head in a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Very floral, grape, banana aroma
Smooth MF, not too carbonated.
Grape, citrus taste, some sweetness.
Moderate hoppy finish.
The Enigma hops from Australia add a lot to the flavor profile.
Another excellent beer from Relic.

Went all-in on a four pack of this one since Mosaic/Enigma at 8% and for under $14 a four-pack just seems like a crazy good deal. Never mind that Relic's recent IPA game has been pretty damn good to me... why not?
Pours a completely-opaque deep orange color with golden overtones if held directly to light. Splotchy lace and decent-enough legs. Lots of macro-bubbles forming the rest of the head that remains after a little while. Even with a pretty hard pour, I only get around two solid fingers of foam here. Not one of Relic's best looking IPAs, but I'm not going to let that turn me off!
The nose is rather underwhelming at first, but if I really get into the glass I pick up a lot of the dank berry and tropical fruit character that both Mosaic and Enigma can bring to the table. It's a little yeasty and nondescript, honestly, but the underlying layers are pretty nice. A bit grassy and earthy with notes of ripe mango and lychee underneath. I think this could be pushed a bit more, maybe an extra dry-hop or a slightly higher hopping rate. Then again, that could definitely increase the price to the point where it wouldn't be such an excellent deal, so maybe I should be careful what I wish for.
On the other hand, however, the flavor profile is superb. Juicy and fresh tasting with a whole hell of a lot of mango, lychee, red raspberry, and passion fruit notes all melding well under the soft and full-bodied malt palate. This is what I expect from Relic! Very fun to drink and fresh as hell (2 weeks old or so). Has a little bit of a fruit gum note with yeasty esters and orange/grapefruit citrus rind-like bitterness in the finish. Slight apricot and guava with even more juicy notes after each sip. Just washes over the tongue really nicely. Glad I picked this up.
So, Relic. They are hit-or-miss when it comes to their IPAs lately, though most of them have been quite good and enjoyable (and a good price, to boot). This falls in the mid-high echelon for them with regards to their latest work. I think I've enjoyed Serpent Hour and Mistress of Wigs a bit more, but this is a bit better than The Crone and D is for Denali. It's almost on the same level as Parade of Bones for me, I guess. I just want the Enigma and Mosaic hops to shine and distinguish themselves a bit more, but I feel I'm being kinda picky here. This is still quite nice.

12oz Can
A: Pours a dirty water/ Grapefruit juice looking color. An inch or so of white fluffy and creamy head. Nice retention with abundant sticky lacing. Some of these NEIPA’s look gross, but I’m getting used to it.
S: Tropical. Fruity. Sweet. Strong aroma. Fresh. The aroma lasts the entirety of the beers life.
T/M: Tropical. Juicy. More tropical fruits. Hoppy. Bitter. A bit dank. Some wheat and other malt grains. Has a somewhat clean finish with a linger of dryness and fruits. The 8% ABV is hidden well, even as the beer warms.
O: Excellent DIPA. Another great offering from Relic Brewing. I’m really liking the Enigma Hops here. The balance between hop bitterness and juiciness is exceptional.
Cheers!!!

12oz can. Pours a murky, dirty pale brown with an inch of head. It looks like dirty swamp water. Lots of lacing. The aroma is all types of fruits. Peach, pineapple, mango, guava, sweet orange and white grapes. The taste is a bit piney this time around but still has the fruits. Banana, peach, pineapple, guava, orange and white grapes. A bit yeasty and malty towards the end with some bubblegum. Citrus finish. Not all that boozey. Medium to heavy body with an oily mouthfeel. Don’t be swayed by this one’s appearance, it’s another good Imperial IPA from Relic.
