Have never had Lotus hops before. The pour produces a really well conditioned beer, lots of lacing, lovely fluffy head, about par for the course for Relic. The nose is initially muted but it sort of opens up rather quickly, and then there's a good deal of sweet fruity character, almost Belgian really. Taste follows. There's a great, golden ale, blonde ale base here and then it opens up with what I can only assume is the hop character. So there's a simple malt base, it's a very full, rounded beer, you'd almost guess it was around 6% or so.

The hop profile is a boatload of stone fruit, also some white wine tannin qualities, but that follows for the sort of blueberry character. It's not fruity in a bad way, more in how Riesling is fruity but also very dry. It's actually a lovely beer. The packie had these 4 packs for 6 bucks, I grabbed a couple on a whim. Glad I did.
