A: opaque; very dark brown - almost black; with a fairly aggressive pour, a 1 finger finely pored medium brown head that receded quickly to a splotchy, big bubbled head; little lacing;
S: semisweet chocolate and vanilla;
T: through the middle, it's balanced between deeply roasted grain, semisweet chocolate, and vanilla; toward the end, it follows the nose; moderate bitterness on the finish;
M: medium to full bodied; light to moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: the bitterness is a nice check on the sweetness;
