Appearance: Arrives with a hazy copper color and a very nice head that leaves a few strands of lacing behind
Smell: Earthy fruits with spicy rye
Taste: A bit of shortbread and earthy fruit, up front, with the spicy rye emerging; crisp, dry finish
Mouthfeel: Light body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: A style that is not often found but here, it is well executed

Relic is a new Connecticut brewery that hasn't wasted any time in brewing crazy, high end stuff.
Pours a beautiful reddish blond with a nice head that dissipates quickly.
You can really smell the rye and the floral/citric hops.
The taste is dry with a wonderful rye spiciness, but it's still very refreshing. I feel like they held back on the malt a bit on purpose to let the rye come through, which wouldn't work if this was super hoppy. With a hop presence I would describe as "balanced," it works very well. Dry on the front, and also dry at the end when you get some yeasty goodness. The mouthfeel is my favorite part of this beer. I find myself licking the roof of my mouth with every sip to enjoy this beer's tannic like quality. Dry to the bone and still refreshing; that's tough to pull off.

Overall: Relic's offering in Prologue is a bounty for fans of rye ales. The flavor heavily leans on the rye for character, but rewards the drinker with a funky intracacy.
Appearance: Unfiltered, rusty gold body that's as hazy as breath on glass. Pours a two finger head that sinks back into the depths of the brew, and leaves a slippery lace benind.
Smell: Fresh hay; rye; black pepper, bread dough; soap.
Taste: Its first impression is of a malty ale... then the rye appears. Its taste is intense at first; however, layers of complexity grow pronounced as each sip is consumed.
Mouthfeel: Finishes dry, with a chalky burst of rye left on the palate.
