Growler from the brewery, poured into a pint
A pale yellow color with a one finger off-white cap and some stray bubbles pushing north. Some clingy lace and spider web patterns develop.
A mellow hop aroma complemented nicely by the sweet citrus of the blood orange. Hop notes of grapefruit, mango, tangerines, and ripe melon. A sturdy pale malt background stays low and lets the hops play.
A very nice interplay between these hops and the blood orange. Sweet citrus from the fruit with ripe melon, mango, grapefruit, and tangerines from the hops. The finish is a mix of bitter and sweet, with just a touch of bitterness lingering.
Light bodied with even carbonation.
This is a very mellow IPA. I like this hop though, good tropical, citrus notes and the decision to match this up with blood orange is perfect.
