So I wasn't the biggest fan of this brewery after about a half dozen offerings, but this might have been the most impressive of the lot. Came to realize I just wasn't a fan of their ipas, the other styles are better.
Anyways, had em fresh last summer, saved one for this year, still good. So even a year later, this doesn't really drop off. Pours light beer yellow. Good clarity for a 'light' beer with a high hopping rate. Aroma is light and bitter hoppy, a mix of tettenang and cascade give exactly what you would expect, that noble grapefruit rind. Not really pushing the kolsch yeast aspect here.
Taste is good, I could drink a lot more 'light' beers if they had this kind of a bittering hop charge. Definitely on the juice. This is what light beers need, a little hop kick in the pants. Seems more like a Cascade hopped light beer than a kolsch, but I get the reference and attempt to link the beer to a more nerdy style. Good spritzy carbonation feel helped along by the hopping rate/variety. I think this should be held out as one of the best 'light' beers out there.

Pours a clear yellow golden color with white head. Cereal grain and a grass hop note on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with more grain and grass, crisp and clean. Overall, nice and light, great for the Texas heat.

On draft at Craft & Growler. Served in a 12 oz tulip.
Not much of a smell. Tastes like a watered down Kolsch. Not a whole lot of flavor or hops.
Overall a swing and a miss fro Peticolas. More of a light session beer that should have been released over the summer.
