22oz bottle extra'd to me by Shawn. Bottled June 2013.

Okay so this pours basically a typical porter- dark brown body, with a nice fluffy mocha head that dissipates fairly quickly. Typical of a porter.

However, I get massive popcorn butter in the nose and little else.

And in the flavour, really nothing but a little bit of butter. That's that diacetyl flavour for sure.

Mouthfeel is even worse. Its even thinner bodied than most porters I've had. Carbonation is terrible, not much flavour in this beer at all.

Infected, horrible, I would just stay away from it at all costs. I got this as an extra so I don't look at it as a loss, but this was still a major drainpour.

Poured from 22 oz bomber into snifter glass.

A: Poured pitch black with 1-2 finger tan head that dissipated quickly. Almost no lacing.

S: Faint smell of whiskey. Cherry, oak, and malts are up front.

T: Cherry, vanilla, roasted malts. A bit more sourness here than expected. Trying to decide if its intended or a bit of infection. Alcohol is apparent and whiskey flavors come through.

M: More carbonation than most porters. Maybe a bit thin for my taste.

O: A decent porter. I would like to revisit another bottle to see if sour tastes still prevail...
