Originally brewed based on a 15 minute old recipe, The Double IPA is a showcase for the glorious American hop. Taking inspiration from late night frozen food purchases, a copywritten number and the need for more, The Double IPA clocks in at a hefty 9.25% ABV and is liberally dosed with more “C” hops than you can shake a stick at. Drink it fresh. Drink it often.
The Double IPA is brewed once a month: when it’s gone it’s gone, but it will return in a few weeks!

Last run was a little boozy, but I look forward to a growler every time this is released.

Sample from the brewery.
Cloudy golden yellow pour, one inch head, a little bit of lacing, hard to really get a full feel for the lacing in a smaller pour.
Smells like sweet grain, citrus hops, and pine.
A bit more malt forward than I'm used to for an DIPA. Sweet grainy malt, then a bitter hop attack of grapefruit and pine. Slightly one dimensional.
Light bodied, well carbonated, crisp.
The IPA is much better, this one needs a little work, I think.
