Samples from the brewery were enticing, so I got a half-growler of this stuff. Poured into a shaker pint, as that was all that my friends house had in the cabinet.
Pours dark brown, almost black. One inch head, not much lacing.
Aromas include ginger(bread), cinnamon, roasted malts, and chocolate.
This one feels and tastes like a gingerbread stout, but the brewer calls it a "gingersnap" stout, which feels right too. Huge run of cinnamon and ginger flavor on the palate are buttressed by subtle roasted malt flavors, some chocolate, and some vanilla.
Medium bodied, crisp mouthfeel, sweet but not cloying finish.
I'm really liking what these guys in Buffalo are putting out, and will try anything I see from them.
