Not sure on the vintage and they seem to vary a bit in ABV by year. Purchased February 2019 from the brewpub in Buffalo. Poured into a Zywiec porter glass
L: Crystal clear copper pour with a finger of fizzy white head. Nice retention and lacing.
S: Rich... caramel and brown sugar. Bread, yeast, and some herbal hops.
T.F: Semi-sweet up front... downright dry for a Barleywine. Strong caramel and toffee... rich with toasted grains and baked bread. Some yeast and tea leaf... herbal/medicinal hops for balance/bittering. Some sharp spice towards the finish. Medium bodied... warming.
O: An unusual barleywine... not overly sweet and with some hop bite so favoring the American side of the pond. Nice for a slow sipper.
