Pours a hazy orange color. A large billowing foam head retains well, yields lots of sticky and thick ring layers of lacing.
The aroma is very fruity and citrusy, with notes of grapefruit, orange, lime, mango and pineapple. As expected, there are notes of spruce tips, as well as aromas of pine and holiday spices.
Opens juicy and sweet with notes of cracker malt and creamy oats supporting a hops burst of fruity flavors. Notes of grapefruit, orange, lime, pineapple and peach are contrasted with the citrusy and resiny flavors of spruce. This is complimented by flavors of pine and an emerging bitterness.
Medium bodied with a smooth and almost frothy mouthfeel. The finish is long with overall dryness and an increasingly resiny linger.
Nice IPA, easy to drink. It has the smooth and juicy mouthfeel of an NEIPA, the piney bitterness of a West Coast IPA, and the holiday spice of a winter beer.
