On tap at Community Beer Works in Buffalo, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark brown, almost black, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like milk chocolate, roasted malt, and some light coffee.
I want a touch more “bite” on this one – maybe some hop character or a heavier roast note, but the chocolatey and silky malt character is pretty dynamite anyway.
This is super smooth and drinkable, with a clean and long finish that keeps you coming back for me.
I could quibble with a few things about this beer, but ultimately I still do feel it was a success.
