A: Pours a cloudy gold, with more yellow hues than orange. There is quite a bit of pure white puffy head that takes quite awhile to settle. I get some solid lacing as it drinks.
S: Wow. This is a hoppy one. The nose is huge pine, with a bunch of citrus packed in there as well. Grapefruit dominates, but you can pull out some slight lemon, and a touch of orange. I also get some phenols and Belgian yeast characteristics.
T: The first hit is slight sweet and a little watery. Following, there is a solid lemon backbone that takes hold. As the beer progresses, it turns increasingly bitter with major grapefruit and resiny pine qualities. The finish is a mix of sweet bitter.
M: Medium bodied beer. It starts out sweet, becomes lightly bitter, then gets really bitter. The finish is a good mix, but the hops linger on the palate after the beer has moved off the palate.
O: This beer is decent. It's a little too resiny for my taste, but it's definitely drinkable. I'm happy to have gotten a chance to try this beer. Another solid one from CBW. I'll be happily finishing this growler this weekend.
