On-tap at The Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY...
A: Pours a cloudy orange straw with a puffy pure white foamy head. There is a decent amount of lacing as it drinks.
S: The nose is pine, slight citrus, and a touch of malt. I get a bit of herbal tea and vegetation as well. Nice, but nothing that really stands out.
T: It starts off with a bright kick of lemon mixed with just a dash of grapefruit. As it moves into the middle of the beer, it's gets slightly sweet (tea and malt) but it's mixed with a bitterness coming from the wet hops. It gets kind of stinging in the back end and finishes with some solid citrus.
M: It's a bit watery, but it is an APA and the flavors in this beer are nice. The beer really tightens up in the end and finishes a bit dry.
O: It's a good beer and I' really happy to have tried another CBW offering. This is an easy drinker but I don;t really know if I'd want more than a pint or two before moving onto something else.
