Had on tap as part of a flight at Blue Monk. Part of a series, this one was apparently brewed for Belgium Comes to Cooperstown.
Pours a golden/orangeish. A nice, but slightly muted aroma of citrus hops and Belgian yeast. The flavor continues in much the same vein, with floral flavors also pushing their way in It's less of a Belgian IPA than others more true to the style- more of an American IPA with a slight Belgian twist to it (the trappist yeast, maybe?) Very light carbonation.
The beer is insanely drinkable, I could see putting back 2 or 3 of these no problem at all. Nothing absolutely off-the-wall incredible about this beer, just solid and very drinkable. I don't know the exact ABV, but it was probably in the 5-6 range.
I look forward to seeing more from this brewery- Frank and Rutherford B. Haze were great- this wasn't as good as Frank, but better than Rutherford. I still have a growler of The IPA to crack- I think that one might top all of the other CBW beers I've had.
What does WYHIWYG mean? What you hear is what you get?

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
