Neumünster 12/5 2024. 50 cl bottle from German Tankstelle. Green version of Hafferödder’s usual label design with a golden hen.
Pours clear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a bit of metallic alcohol and grass. Sweet pale malts, bread and cereal. Grains.
Strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a touch of alcohol. Sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Decent and fairly bitter Helles.

A: Pours clear golden with some large bubbles in the liquid. The light tan head is medium large and a bit soapy. Dissipation is quick and leaves only faint lacings.
S: Sweet malt, a bit grainy but still very bready. Faint citric notes and bitter hops.
T: Taste is light (a nice way of saying weak) and holds bready sweet malt and some bitter hops.
M: Aftertaste is very short and faint bitter. Body is light to medium and carbonation is rich.
D: A Dortmunder could be really nice, but this one is to little of everything.
