Murky orange body, finger of beige foam. Apricot, tons of fruit esters in smell and taste. Nose also has floral toned honey, apple, pear, and anise. Taste starts the same but has an aftertaste that is fruited medicine. As it warms it gives off flavors of anise and black jelly bean or Fernet. Body is thinner and sweeter for style, with more malt than anything else. The vision for this beer did not translate on the palate

A: The beer is relatively clear amber in color. It has a moderate amount of visible carbonation and has some fine particulates floating in suspension. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of apples and honey are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is a bit sweet with underlying hints of yeast.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit syrupy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer definitely tastes strong but isn't overly alcoholic - most of the strength is noticeable in the fuller mouthfeel.
Serving type: can

375 ml bottle
Pours mostly clear apple juice golden, no head.
Aroma of apple, honey, biscuit, and some hints of candi sugar.
Flavor is of bread makts, honey, apple, some very mild esters, and candi sugar.
Full, syrupy body. Light stinging carbonation on the tongue.
This is a slow drinking, syrupy, rich ale that certainly has some clear Belgian influences, but isn't completely similar to a Belgian ale. It's quite heavy and while I am enjoying it, it's not something I could see myself wanting often. Of the four Decenjials, this is probably my least favorite.

A Tavour treat; only two left. Thank you State of Michigan. Pours a copper color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma is sweet alcohol. Pleasant taste of alcohol; not overwhelming.
