I have a Batch 1 Decennial II: Shadowman (16% ABV) here from 2016. Pour looks totally normal, dark with a brown, thin head. Nose is gentle oxidation notes. Flavor is sweet stout and light oxidation. Excellent for an 8 year old beer.

Cellared almost 2 years. Midnight black opaque body, light brown finger of foam. Roasted malts with dark chocolate, fig, and booze make up the nose. Taste is super boozy, dark chocolate, and dark fruit laden, kind of odd because this is proceeded by smoke and super robust malt before going to sweet fruit in an instant. Whiplash! Medium bodied, bittering final impression, robust and malty with considerable warmth.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short dark beige head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering most of the surface, a narrow collar, and some specks of bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with hints of licorice.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of dark malts with notes of dark malt and licorice along with notes of coffee and hints of raisins.
M: It feels full-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout definitely tastes strong but doesn't seem overly alcoholic considering its strength. It seems like it could be a hybrid between an Imperial Stout and a Russian Imperial Stout.

Pours opaque black, dark tan head is finely textured and dissipates to a bit of lacing.
Aroma of cocoa, toast, fresh coffee, and walnut.
Flavor is cocoa, mesquite, toast, charcoal, nuts, and a dry woody finish.
Full viscous body, tingly carbonation on the tongue.
Very rich without being overly sweet. Flavor evokes the feeling of being around a campfire. Drinks very slowly, and has a hint of boozy numbness after a few sips. A superb stout experience, very well balanced. I will hopefully have more of this some day.

A Tavour treat. Pours a black color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of dark and and roasted malts. Tastes of chocolate, caramel and coffee. 15% ABV is hidden well. Good mouth feel.
