Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 4/15/24.
Appearance: dark amber-brown hue with maybe a little bit of haze and a thin layer of frothy tan foam atop. Looks good.
Smell: relatively sweet, with a lagery yeastiness and some nice, light chocolate notes. Malt is a little toasty and perhaps a little biscuity. Not too bad.
Taste: plenty of toasty, caramelly malt flavor, although without some of those chocolate notes from the aroma. This has a bit more of an amber lager flavor to me; not bad, but maybe a bit toastier/biscuitier than I like a schwarzbier to be.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a reasonably decent schwarzbier, if not entirely to my taste.
