Appearance: Pours a somewhat cloudy copper color with a one finger head; reasonable retention and splashy lacing
Smell: Fig, herbaceous bitters and rustic bread tones
Taste: Fig and rustic bread forward with herbaceous flavors developing; a strong hint of clove lingers in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: Been a while since I had a Bière de Garde and it just reminds me of what we have lost as so many brewers have focused on a limited range of styles
