Nice dark caramel color with a thin head on the pour. Rich malts take over the smell with a little citrus. Very smooth beer to drink. Lots of rich malts from the red style. I didn't get too much Belgian flavor, but the beer was enjoyable. Very easy to drink, especially since most beers are over 9% here.

belgian pale red they call this one. i found it to be more american than belgian, just because of the intense dry hopped aroma and flavor of this brew. it overpowers the belgian style yeast used to a point hard to recognize. it pours a clear color more red than amber, with a small white head that dies out rather fast. it smells like west coast hops, sticky and citric. there are also belgian yeast notes and caramel and crystal malt presence, but they take a back seat to the hops. flavor is also very hoppy, its refreshign and crisp. the yeast plays only a minor role here. feel is good, well carbonated wit a medium body. overall this was better than average, but not a standout.
