Poured a very deep copper color, almost brown. Slightly hazy. Small, 1 finger head not quite pale white. Settled to a slight film and collar. Spotty lacing

Belgian yeast aroma, spicy and tingly. Sweet bread and biscuit. A bit of clove and green banana or plantain.

The malt puts up some good efforts. The sweet bread is more of a doughy bread, kind of sticky and brown. Biscuit faded out. Belgian yeast spice dominates. A bit of Jolly Rancher sweetness type thing going on. The apple or orchard fruit I seem to expect from dubbels is absent for the most part here. While this doesn't make this a bad beer, it does seem to miss the mark. A little boozy and thin
