I like a brown with some meat on its bones, and this isn't hurting for that. It's almost more of a porter than a brown with all of its roast instead if chocolate malt character, and with this much body. Not much head on the real dark brown ale, but it may have sat a minute at the bar before it was served. The nose does indeed show the honey, but it's lost a bit to the intensity of the roast. I love it for winter, but I would have almost built a less roasty beer to showcase the honey a bit more. I love the full body and how dry it is for a honey beer. It's totally different than any other one out there in this regard. Neat they used all local stuff too, this is sessionable for miles and probably good for my immune system. Nice winter warmer substitute too if you don't like boozy spiced ales

This is the beer I order every time. It is really well balanced with a subtle honey flavor, but not sweet. The honey is from the Front Range.
