First had poured from pint can, gift from friend, into nonic pint. With a hint of caramel malt, this my first Tin Man is refreshing yet appropriate for a late October Indian Summer day in Mississippi. Also pairs well with Chinese food.

Sweet, simple and to the point, the inspiration of Belgium finds its way into the brewhouse of Tin Man. Equal parts fruit and spice, with a kiss of wine-like acidity make this Belgian pale ale a worthwhile option.
Pale gold and crowned with a creamy white cap, the beer's boldly carbonated character offers a hazy champagne appearance. Light citrus, perfume, soft spice, honey and bread intertwine into an elegant scent of white wine. Honey and grain align on the tongue with a creamy impression and a subtle cereal-like taste.
Sweetness and breadiness soon subsides to allow the fruit and spice medley to take the helm thereafter. Lighter fruits of apple, orange, lemon, pear and melon rest alongside of bubblegum, clove, white pepper and curry for a yin-and-yang of complexity and balance. Herbal late, the bitterness is moderate and in the realm of pepper and lemongrass itself. Playful riesling acidity plays off of the moderate alcohol spice for a slim wine-like turn.
Medium-bodied and creamy, the beer retains a bread and honey taste and texture right through the finish- keeping the body semi-acidic, but semi-sweet. A hint of detergent rises with the bitterness as the taste trails off late. Positronic is a classic Belgo-American ale that enjoys a simplistic palate, steering from the dryness, depth, rusticity and complexity of the more traditional Belgian born variety.

16oz tallboy, sample from the brewery.
Lovely frothing from a healthy pour, bubbly with a deep golden color. Good clarity. Faint phenols of bubblegum and wild herbs, cracker graininess, and a nutty yeast are all in the nose. Crisp with a fluffy medium body. Lots of fresh grain intertwined with spicy peppery phenols, some dried tropical fruit in the middle with a kiss of herbal hop. Alcohol is warming and does not get it the way, very well executed. Hard to get a Belgian style like this right, impressive.

A - Nice golden orange, slightly haze, and with a superb white head and huge lacing.
S - Yeast all over, with a slight fruit flesh element, and a touch of limestone.
T - The limestone comes forward, the lemon and fruitiness is the hum throughout, and a slight bite of bitterness in the close. Decent, but perhaps a touch too sweet.
F - There is a bit of weight that isn't cleared as I drink down the glass. Otherwise pretty solid.
O - Impressive overall. The tastes are not particularly complex, but the nose has great notes, and the look is extraordinary.
