Tart, refreshing, crisp, clean and led by pear, Tin Man's sour flirtation takes them to the orchard for this summer night's dream.
Surprisingly bright with a light golden shade, the appearance of champagne comes to mind as those sparkling bubbles race to the rim. Slight on foam character, the beer quickly reclaims its froth and the beer quickly falls still. Apple cider, pear, white grape and melon flood the nose with a bracingly sour scent that playfully tightens the jaws. Supple candied sweetness kisses the front of the palate and then flutters away, leaving tangy fruit sweetness behind.
As the fruit sweetness quickly dissolves, the full fruit flavor takes command of the taste. Leading pear carries a juicy and plump character that skirts the acidity of crabapple, lemon and lime beneath. Lightly briny, a calm mineral taste emboldens the fruit and balances the sourness. Suggestions of sparkling white wine and cider give a firm vinous flare to the closing with an after current of kiwi and honeydew.
Medium-light in body, only a slender, wafer-thin wheaten texture offers support to the militant carbonation and the bracing acidity. As the ale exits the palate, a short and fruity aftertaste ensues while the whimsy of wine lingers on.

16 ounce can, best before (pull by) date of 10/11/2016 printed on the bottom of the can. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a slightly hazy straw gold color with about an inch white head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing at all. The brew smells like pears and bready malt. The taste is similar to the aroma, it mostly tastes like sweet and tart pears along with some bready/grainy malt. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's smooth and easy enough to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked it, it's worth picking up at least once. $3.79 for a single can.
