Format: a 100mL taster from the cellar door at Garage Project during Wellington Good Beer Week.
Appearance: a slightly cloudy dark brown with a solid finger of tan head. Good retention and lacing. Looks decent.
Aroma: a big aroma of milk chocolate, toffee and some licquorice and heavy dark fruits.
Taste: follows the nose quite closely, with the chocolate and toffee or molasses up front with some spice and those dark fruits and a touch of sherry and oak barrel flavours. Nice.
Aftertaste: still very heavy in flavour per the Garage Project norm - quite sweet on the finish. This really is more of a slow-sipper than a throw-down.
Mouth feel: quite heavy and viscous in feel with a moderate carbonation. Incredibly smooth and creamy - a fantastic feel for sure.
Overall: once again Garage Project brings us a wonderful and idiosyncratic version of, well, pretty much anything they want. A lovely porter, and one to try as I can afford them - at AU$30 for a 650mL bottle. A bit ouch, but it is pretty special.

As stated on the bottle its a blended porter with some aged in oak bourbon barrels and Pours a dark chestnut hue with a creamy one finger head and lacing everywhere, the smell is strong liquorice,Oaked bourbon, milk chocolate and molasses, the taste is milk chocolate, bourbon, oak, liquorice, molasses and finished with a chocolate bittersweetness and overall I love it and would like another bottle to age cheers.
