Collaboration between Nogne and Garage Project. Contains malted barley, malted rye, Pohutkawa honey, Motueka and Kohatu hops, english ale yeast.
Murky amber with decent off-white head.Excellent balance of honey and rye in aroma, yellow fruits, biscuits. First sip is rather sweet, honey, than other malt and fruity nuances reveal. Relatively strong, but pleasant and sunny beer.

Golden pale appereance. Pours a somewhat uneven head.
The first I smell are malty aromas: biscuit, caramel and toasty. After reading that it contains honey I definately get that too. Seems like there also are some fruity esters that integrate into these aromas.
Tastes like it smells - sweet at the beginning with the caramel flavors being emphazised. I get kinda cascade like quality from the hop aroma/taste, but it says they used Motueka and Kohatu, which I have no experience with. Considering the sweet flavors involved it finishes dry with a medium bitterness, which stops the beer from being too cloying.
The beer is medium low carbonated, and a medium-rich mouthfeel for the style, considering it's a pale beer.
Overall a decent beer. Personally I would like some more character, at 7,5 abv I'd like it to be a bit more going on in this beer. As it is now it tastes kind of like a good session beer - except for the high alcohol!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
