Label art still proclaims a 10th anniversary edition, but the best before date indicates June 2025, so this must be a new batch. More pissy and grassy than the normal Pernicious Weed, but not necessarily in a bad way. Aggressively bitter, reminiscent of the hop wars a decade ago in the US and Europe. Well done for a 10% ABV IPA to avoid going too far with malty sweetness in tandem with the higher ABV.

A 440ml can, with a best before date of 12th May 2022. Poured into a winebar glass.
Appearance: A very lightly hazy golden orange colour with a one finger white head that had decent retention, while leaving only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Pine, grass, herbal, malty, biscuit, toffee, with some light tropical fruity notes.
Taste: Sweet and bitter, piney, grass, grapefruit, malty, toffee hints, and a citrus pithy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.
Overall: It’s perhaps ever so slightly better than the original Pernicious Weed, but at the same time, it’s a little sweet for my palate.

A - Pours a clear Golden/Copper colour with a White head that dies quickly
S - Pungent pine aromas and some toast.
T - Much like the aroma, Very pronounced hop resin and a boozy finish.
M - Light to medium body and carbonation
O - A very nice WC IPA but misses the mark in some respects. Lacks a wow factor
