On-draught. 1/4th of a $17 NZD flight at the brewery.
A dessert stout to be sure; I'm glad I got the puny taster pour size in a flight - this would be a chore to take down in any higher volume.
Chocolate shell, Easter egg milk chocolate, chocolate specialty malt, high dark malt sweetness, chocolate syrup, a kiss of booze, lingering fudge through the finish.
I've had more cloying beers, and I get that the goal here is a souffle redolent stout, but for me this crosses out of the realm of drinkability and into saccharine territory...the kind of beer that would sicken me to have more than 4oz of.
Oily thick with an off-putting sludginess.
I can't honestly recommend it to others. Maybe I'm just not keen on Garage Project's approach to stout brewing.

Too saccharine for me to want more than 2oz of, but for a dessert stout it's understandably sweet.
