Jos shared this while we were checking out the space of a future world class brewery. Thanks!
A: Dark brown with a big frothy beige head.
S: Raisin and plum with treacle and candi sugar notes. Rum is evident but restrained. Date blends with caramel. Bready notes are present and I detect a light spiciness.
T: Sweet caramel and treacle. Big raisin notes with a light rum presence. Brown sugar blends with date and candi. Alcohol is very well hidden. Little astringency in the finish. Bitterness is at a low level throughout.
M: Upper medium body with medium carbonation. Silky and sticky with notable alcohol warming.
Overall: Impressive. I guess Garage Project had secured a rum barrel for this beer but it fell through at the last minute so instead they soaked raisins in a bottle of 12 year old Appleton Estate Rum. I think it turned out quite well. My first beer from this brewery and I hope it won't be the last.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
