An dark, murky orange into a tradtional weisse glass. Large, snow white, foamy head. Clearing, thick lacings.

Fresh aroma, hint of citrus and grainy malt.

Surprisingly came up short in the taste department. I got no banana whatsoever and no warming alcohol. Slight clove spiciness, but not that much really.

Mouthfeel was as good as you would expect from a German tap, and I it was certainly drinkable on a summer day at the Sony Centre. I can't help but feel that this weisse beer was there for the sole purpose of mixing. All the usual stand out characteristics of the style had been toned down. They offer a large range of mixes and I gave the ginger one a shot after the original. It was... gingery. I little more sweetness (ginger ale) and it wouldn't have been really tasty.

Good beer, not remarkable.

The only beer actually brewed by Lindenbäu, their unfiltered weissebier house brew. 0.5l serving on-tap, presented in its own weissebier glass.

Presented as a cloudy, dark peach/amber beer with an ultra-creamy white lace. Head retention is incredible.

Mega banana, banana bread, caramel and candy in the aroma.

Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy to start, then strikes the palate with a crisp, dry wheat character, paired with a lemony hop snap -- very dry, bitter lemon-like. Interesting candied banana flavour throughout. Finish makes way for a wheat grain coarseness, touch of wheatgrass and a subdued banana bread flavour.

One of the better weissebiers, if not the best, that I had the pleasure of reviewing while in Berlin. A must if you are visiting the area.
