Clear copper color with a thick three finger head with medium retention.
Predominant grainy malt and hay aroma with light hints of minerals and maybe some bread.
Malty flavor with notes of slightly toasted and grainy malts, hay, minerals, DMS, a bit of booze and herbal hops. Quite dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light to medium body with medium carbonation.
I found their Lager (Pilsner) version more balanced, apparently the maltier body was not offset by equivalent hop increase (though it is sure there), and grainy malt is not my first preference. Ps. Gold is not a good name, I was initially expecting a Golden Ale.
