Avery basic Belgian pale here, lacking much nuance, and probably under hopped, at least for what I like In the style. Looks nice, all churned up and heady in the glass, holding it too. Nose is generic Belgian yeast fermented a little warm it seems. Lots of cloying esters overpowering the hops, which appear grassy and reserved. Definitely out of balance a bit, and something is missing. All I ever really taste is the yeast. This beer seems juvenile, raw, in need of honing and better understanding of these type of yeasts. It isn't bad, just very rookie overall. This is the only beer at alpine dog though that I felt this way about. Light on bubbles for a style that should effervesce as well.
