Despite not having a handpump dispensed still presented a handsome nice spritely pale

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Sept 2012. Picked up recently from Gluggles in York. The label describes it as a single-hopped golden ale. Bottle-conditioned.
Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A bright golden-yellow with faint haze and good carbonation. Forms a large head of white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a surface layer. Aroma of light malt, floral hops and earthy yeast. Hints of citrus, melon and pine. Dry.
Tastes of light malt with a yeasty character and a dry, bitter finish. Notes of floral hops, citrus, subtle pine, earthy yeast and stewed hops. A dry, spicy bitterness upon swallowing, with a mild acidic quality in the background. Mouthfeel is light and very dry, with tingly carbonation. Quite astringent. Aftertaste of floral aromatic hops, bitter pine and yeast.
A solid effort - a pale ale with impressive flavour. Plenty of aromatic hop notes, though there's a bit too much yeast presence. The stand-out bitterness belies the light colour. Tasty; goes down nicely. I believe this is a one-off single-hop ale, but worth sampling if you come across it.
