From a growler, from Sam The Beer Man. Other than it is a DIPA, I don't know anything about it. Water Street's tap list on their website is blank at the moment.
Lightly hazy amber , with creamy, off-white, long-lasting head. Leaves 3/8" persistent lacing.
Aroma is of a balanced mix of grapefruit, tangerine, and candied pineapple, plus some hint of floral, malt, and alcohol.
Flavor is floral, honey, pine, caramel , finishing with a touch of citrus and turpenes? (piney hops + alcohol? - not quite "dank") . I mention noticeable alcohol , but it is pleasant, plays well with the other flavors, and is just barely there. Probably wouldn't notice if I wasn't reviewing, and so not thinking about it. Nice light bitterness throughout, lingering on the tip of the tongue for a few seconds after finish.
Feel is creamy, and super-smooth, with just the barest tingle after finish.
Overall, smooth, well-balanced, and easy-drinking. If you need a point of reference, think of fresh Flower Power , but a tad smoother/oily .Maybe if you mixed Ommegang's Great Beyond with Flower Power? As I mentioned, I don't know, but would guess 8-10% abv, by how it's drinking. (& how I feel after ~12 oz. ; ) )

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
