Light color for the style. Not much of a head but it does leave decent streaky lace on the glass. Cloudy.
Dramatic caramel sweetness to the nose. My daughter smelled a strong bitter hop nose, but I could not detect any.
The flavor is very well-balanced. Excellent caramel malt base with a floral hop bite. Subtly an IPA. Very English in the taste and the body (rich and lowly carbonated). Overall, this is one of the better English-styled IPAs made in America. If you ever had an opportunity to have a Tremont Pale Ale, you would find this to be very similar.
