On tap at Monkish Brewing Company in Torrance, CA.
Pours a hazy light golden-yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, spice, citrus zest, and slight nail polish remover aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, earth, citrus zest, and yeast flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and yeast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid hop qualities all around, but the nail polish remover aroma is a bit odd.
Serving type: on tap.

Straw colored and slightly cloudy with good lacing. This one drinks refreshingly clean for the style and it's near 8% alcohol is barely noticeable. Slight yeast and cinnamon on the nose and mild spice character in taste. A bit one dimensional however, and a bit straight-laced for a brewery that's taken many unique approaches to classic Belgian styles.
