thanks to brian from monkish for this one. tasty belgian pale with a pleasingly dry, bitter finish. beer pours a clear golden color with loads of lacing left in the pint glass. i get a bit of belgian funk combined with asian pear and grassiness on the nose. goes down with a balanced malt-hop pale ale quality, like biscuits with unsweetened jam. little bit if tropical notes from the hops at the back end of the palate..i like that. oats add great body to a 5.5% beer; full creamy mouthfeel.west coast meets belgian in a most satisfactory way.
