Leave it to Craft in Reno to wind up with some stuff you don't normally see in a geographical area. On tap, draft pour.
Pours a hazy appearance, you know, yellow and orange colors, 1/2" white head. The aroma had a substantial orange presence, was kind of disappointing for those looking for the Nelson hop. Lacked those attributes. Tiny unsweetened unripe pineapple feels. So basically good inputs from Amarillo and Galaxy, but lacking much from Nelson.
The taste continues to push citrus/orange more than anything else. Still lacking all that diesel, gooseberry, white wine, weed feels of the Nelson hop. A much more bitter body than I was expecting given the hazy thickness. The typical smoothness isn't there. More bitter orange versus orange julius like body that is pillowy. I've had some world class elite tier hoppy stuff from Monkish, but this isn't that. Still good, but not great. If I could taste the Nelson, that would be the biggest improvement.
This is one that should be designated as a hazy ipa more than any other.

Turbid and juicy, with a citrus-froward flavor profile. Aroma was all lemon shortbread cookies. "Orange pith puree" is my short review for this one, another solid entry in Monkish's biweekly IPA can releases.

Appearance: cloudy, hazy unfiltered. Looks like orange juice but a bit lighter. Like its half OJ and half fresh pineapple juice.
Aroma: absolutely killer, fruit juices for days. fresh green hop matter. I don't smell malts or bread sweetness. Just the hops, the fruity interesting yeast and just a tropical blend. Mainly Orange juice and pineapple notes.
Taste: amazing. I can't even describe how good this is. Tree house, trillium and nigh shift have some serious west coast competition.
Mouthfeel: fuller and creamier than expected for a 7% IPA. velvety, smooth and perfect.
Overall: I love this beer. I think I like Foggy window more but that might just be because i had it super fresh and on tap but still, this was a super awesome treat. one month old and still holding well.
