Pours a very hazy and turbid orange juice like appearance. A superbly balanced and very crushable American IPA. It's juicy and fruity with an amazing aroma to match.

Canned 8/26/16. Consumed 9/19/16.
A: Pours out a beautiful, light gold haze.
S: Rich bounty of ripe tropical fruits with background hints of citrus. No single note really pops out of the glass, but the aroma is more of a melange of peach, papaya, and subtler hints of melon, spicy pineapple, and sweet tangerine. Overall, it's not a particularly potent aroma, but once you pull it out, it's super appealing.
T: Follows the nose up front. Overripe peach, papaya, mango, and tangerine. Mid-mouth, I get a big punch of bubblegum sweetness, very reminiscent of what I believe I get from Tree House's yeast strain on Green and Julius. On the finish, a bit of woodsy dankness rounds out the sweetness.
M: Absolutely incredible feel for the style. This drinks WAY above its ABV, like a chewy DIPA. Medium plus weight with light carbonation composed of tiny, lightly effervescent bubbles. Medium bitterness on the finish complements a sweet malt character to provide a very balanced aftertaste that lingers on the tongue long after the sip.
O: Another outstanding IPA from Monkish. I really love what they do with Galaxy hops, and the combination with Amarillo hear works damn well. With such a creamy, almost luscious feel for a 6.7% IPA and those dank citrus notes on the aftertaste, Act Out Emotions reminds me a LOT of Alter Ego from Tree House. The Galaxy hop lends much more tropical notes (esp that spicy pineapple) than I get on Alter, but blindfolded, it might be tough to pick them out. Not bad company to be in!
